JAMMU, Oct 31: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chowki Choura Virender Gupta with the active assistance of Revenue Team, comprising his Reader, Karam Chand, Naib Tehsildar Sham Lal, Girdawar Qunango, Padam Kumar and concerned Patwari Halqas paid a visit to Ward Numbers 3 and 4 of Village Lower Choura.
During visit to the area, a long pending dispute over the demarcation of commercial piece of land, falling in Ward Number 4, belonging to one Subash Chander, having been purchased (through registered sale deed) from one Ashok Kumar was amicably settled.
Another verification of prime land pertaining to its actual spot, belonging to Ward Number of Village Lower Choura was also supervised by the SDM, and gave explicit directions to carry out its demarcation accurately as per its revenue record. He accordingly sensitized the nearby claimants and PRI members as well as concerned Sarpanch.
After seeing a series of commercial buildings coming up in that vicinity, the Tehsildar Chowki Choura has been exhorted upon to ensure that the concerned owners may obtain the requisite Building Permission/No Objection Certificates from the Chairman, Building Permission Committee, failing which all the illegal construction(s) shall be demolished.
While on the tour, a surprise visit to the Government Middle School, Lower Choura was also made, wherein the punctuality/presence was found satisfactory. The Incharge Headmaster of the said school was asked to give his students a fair opportunity in participating all types of sports activities so that young generation may not attract towards drug-addiction-menace.
To ensure that the inhabitants of the area may get good quality grinding of wheat/maize etc., the Atta Chakki Mill Owner Rattan Lal was advised accordingly, who assured to improve its quality.
On the way, another surprise visit to Government Higher Secondary School Chowki Choura was made and the SDM was highly impressed about 100 per cent attendance of teachers and its pupils.
While concluding the visit, the defaulters violating the traffic norms were challaned and a sum of Rs1900 was realised and were guided to wear helmets and seat belts while travelling on the mountainous region of Chowki Choura Sub Division.
