UDHAMPUR, Oct 31: The Police arrested two drug- peddlers and recovered 50 grams of heroin from their possession.
Official sources said that a Police party from Police Station Udhampur headed by Inspector Raghubir Singh (SHO) under the supervision of DySP Hqrs, Udhampur Sahil Mahajan established a naka near Gole Mela of Udhampur town.
During checking of vehicles and pedestrian, a motorbike without registration number was signalled to stop but rider tried to fled away however, police naka party stopped them and during frisking of bike rider Mohd Qazi, son of Mushtaq Ahmed of Dihari, Ramnagar along with pillion Liaqat Ali son of Sheru of Harichak, Kathua, police party recovered 50 grams heroin. They were arrested and a case FIR No. 446/2022 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against them.
