Media can promote peace, harmony: Panelists

JAMMU, Oct 11: Media being the most powerful medium of societal change can play a pivotal role in promoting peace and harmony for overall development of the society.
This was the unanimous view expressed by former Ministers and senior Congress leaders R S Chib and Mula Ram, Prof Kamal Dixit eminent journalist from Indore, B K Sushant a freelancer from Delhi, B K Shantanu, Brahama Kumaris Media Co-ordinator from Mount Abu while speaking at a seminar at Press Club here today. The seminar was organized Brahma Kumaris Centre Jammu.
While, Key note address was delivered by Kamal Dixit. R S Chib was the chief guest while Mula Ram presided over the function.
Prof Dixit stressed on the need of adoption of values, spirituality and mediation by the media professionals for self empowerment to bring a positive social change and for national development.
Mr Chib urged the media persons to become the messengers of peace and harmony in society with the help of spirituality.
Moola Ram urged the media persons to spread the message of peace and harmony which are the need of the hour.
Santosh Mangotra advocated for women empowerment while B K Sushant exhorted the media persons to become embodiment of inner peace and harmony through the practice of spiritual wisdom and Rajyoga meditation.
B K Nirmal Incharge Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Center said media persons need more inner peace and power to overcome the work related stress.
