LC Chairman asks Govt to investigate stone pelting in Poonch

SRINAGAR, Oct 11:  Chairman Legislative Council Amrit Malhotra today directed leader of the House Ajay Sadhotra to take notice of the situation that has arisen due to stone pelting at night by some miscreants in some villages of Poonch district.
These directions were passed after legislators Jehangir Hussain Mir and Dr Shahnaz Ganai showed their concern about the situation as soon as the House met today.
Consequently, the Leader of the House directed Chief Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, who was also present in the officers’ gallery to investigate the matter.
Dr Shahnaz Ganai also demanded to investigate the case of murder of an eight year old child in Rajouri, who was kidnapped while returning from school and later his dead body was found in a bag recently.
