Another school boy murdered

RAJOURI, Oct 11: Hardly after four days of  the brutal killing of  7-year-old  school boy, Salik Mansoor, yet another 12-year-old minor student of  Azad Public School, Palma in Rajouri was found murdered  here today.
Identified as  Omar Rehman, son of  Abdul Rehman, resident of  Palma in Rajouri, the dead body of the boy was found hanging on a tree this afternoon. His father is a Constable in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and is presently posted in Mumbai.
The boy was studying in class 7th of Azad Public School. The only brother of four sisters, Omar had gone to the house of his Fufi (Aunt) yesterday. In the morning around 7 am the boy after taking breakfast at the house of his  Fufi, left for his house which is hardly at 20 minutes walking distance.
The boy had to go to his  school. After the boy did not reach home, the family members contacted his ‘Fufa’ Mir Hussain  on phone and inquired about Omar.
Both ‘Fufa’ and ‘Fufi’ got worried and they told that Omar after taking breakfast and tea, had left for home telling that he will have to go to school. Both the families along with locals started search for the boy from both sides. The distance between both the localities is hardly 20 minute walk and there is  some isolated area en- route.
They also informed police that the boy mysteriously went missing after returning from the house of his aunt at Kot Dharra. After long search, they spotted the body of the boy around 12.15 pm. It was hanging with the help of  plastic rope on a  pine  tree. The body also wore some violence marks.
After receiving information of the murder, Rajouri police party led by DySP DAR reached the spot. A large number of relatives of the victim and people of the area gathered there. The police examined the spot and it was found that rope meant for the animals/ goats etc had been used to make noose. The body was shifted to district Hospital Rajouri for postmortem.
As the report of another gruesome murder of school body spread in the town, a large number of  people rushed to hospital. The situation turned tense there. The public was in great anger over the police authorities and alleged that murder after murder of innocent children are taking place and police has failed to prevent such heinous crimes.
As the public after postmortem wanted to take out protest demonstration along with dead body in the town, SP Mubassar Lattifi  and other senior officials also reached there. They assured the agitated public that criminals would be nabbed shortly within days. On the assurance, the relatives then took the body of the boy for last rites.
