CHENANI, Nov 2: Students of Government Higher Secondary School Bupp in Chenani Tehsil of Udhampur district today staged a strong protest against district administration and Education Department for their failure to fill up the vacant posts of teachers in the school.
AISF Tehsil President, Thakur Lal Singh led the protest and alleged that despite shortage of teaching staff in the school, the Education Department officials were transferring those posted HSS Bupp. He said that there are only two expert lecturers in the HSS and rest of the posts are lying vacant.
AISF activist Sneha Sharma said that due to the shortage of staff they have not been getting the authentic knowledge of subjects and this makes the students suffer.
The protesting students warned the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, Director School Education (DSE) Jammu and District administration that if the vacant posts of teachers are not filled up immediately, they would resort to road blockage.
