POONCH, Nov 2: A team of Motor Vehicle Department Poonch, continuing its drive against traffic violations laid nakas on different routes of district during which 35 vehicles were challaned and some fined on the spot for overcharging from passengers.
Team headed by ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood intercepted number of vehicles being driven in violation of norms and took action against the vehicles without proper documents, HSRP Plates, plying without seat belts, overloading, overcharging and other visible violations.
Beside challaning, the team also educated public about road safety and warned drivers of public transport to take action against those who will found violating traffic norms and indulging in overcharging from passengers.
