JAMMU, Nov 3: One person was killed while two others received serious injuries in accident near Satwari.
As per official sources, a Tata Mobile being driven in rash and negligent manner hit two motorcycles near Satwari, resulting into injuries to three persons including a police cop.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared one among them as brought dead. Later, the injured cop was shifted to a hospital outside Jammu for specialised treatment.
The deceased was identified as Sameer, son of Vicky of Vijaypur, while the injured were identified as Rohit, son of Subash of Nud Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu and Deepak (constable posted at Police Station Gandhi Nagar), son of Ramesh Singh of Jourian District Jammu.
The driver of the Tata Mobile has been arrested.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
