UDHAMPUR, Nov 3: Three laborers were seriously injured when shuttering of an under construction bridge of PMGSY road collapsed where the trio was engaged for work.
The incident took place this afternoon at village Basnot, about 27 km in Kanthgali where work was in progress for shuttering of the bridge on Kanthgali to Bamag road under PMGSY.
Locals and another laborer rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to PHC Moungri for treatment where doctors referred them to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured persons were identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Kiker Chand of Lalli, Jagdev Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Nikka Nalli and Joginder Singh son of Baldev Singh of Ladhal Moungri. Panchari Police has registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, dead body at a young man was found on the roadside at Slathia Chowk in Udhampur. The deceased was identified as Vijay Goswami (45), son of Mohan Lal Goswami, resident of Gorikund Tehsil Chenani, at present Tikri near Petrol Pump.
Udhampur police took the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and registered a case under 174 RPC for further investigation.
