Govt school renamed after martyr SPO Inder Singh

REASI, Nov 5: A Government school has been renamed after a martyr SPO Inder Singh here today.
Surjeet Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police Reasi, CEO Reasi Sunita Bali, SDPO Arnas Pritpal Singh and Tehsildar Takhrakote Anil Magotra visited remote hill top village Bagli and dedicated the Government High School Bagli in the name of martyr SPO Inder Singh in presence of PRI members of the area. Officers also instituted a photograph of martyr Inder Singh in the school.
SPO Inder Singh was born to late Mani Ram in far flung village Thanole Tehsil Arnas District Reasi on 23-03-1966. He joined J&K Police during a period of peak militancy in Arnas-Mahore area on 15-12-1999. He was injured in an encounter while fighting against anti national terrorists at Thanole on 18.08.2003 and later succumbed to injuries at GMC Jammu on 23.08.2003 and attained martyrdom.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional SP Reasi conveyed that SPO Inder Singh was very helpful and popular among his colleagues. He was very courageous and brave policeman who volunteered himself to be the part of search party on that day and laid down his life for the nation.
Other Officers who also spoke on the occasion paid rich tribute to the martyr and expressed that by this initiative of the Government, the youth would learn about the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs. Not only it will nurture a feeling of nationalism among the citizens but also immortalize the martyrs, who will be remembered by their names, they added.
