JAMMU, Nov 5: Under the banner of Vigilance Awareness Week being organized from Oct 31-Nov 6, the Dogra Law College in collaboration with Motor Vehicle Department organized a lecture on ‘Integrity, Transparency and Awareness to Fight against Corruption.’
The programme began with Saraswati Vandana and ceremonial lamp lighting.
The welcome address was presented by Principal Incharge, Shuchi Sharma.
Students of Dogra Law College presented papers on the topic.
The key note speaker on the occasion was Gansham Singh, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu. He emphasized on promoting ethical business practices and fostering a culture of honesty and integrity.
He highlighted the role of CVC, Anti-Corruption Bureau J&K and Departmental Vigilance Officers in fighting against the menace of corruption by taking punitive, participative and preventive measures.
He also threw light on the relevant laws present to control and eradicate corruption from society and exhorted the students to join hands and work together to fight against corruption.
Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust also expressed his views on the theme.
Prof. Darshana Sharma urged the gathering to be aware and vigilant against corrupt practices and adopt zero tolerance by raising voice against corruption.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Sumiksha Razdan, Senior Lecturer of Dogra Law College, followed by National Anthem recitation.
