Two notorious thieves arrested with stolen cash

JAMMU, Nov 6: Nehru Market Police arrested two notorious thieves and recovered stolen cash from their possession.
As per police sources, on November 4 this year a complaint was lodged at Nehru Market Police Post by a person namely Ajaz Ahmad, son of Mohd Sharief of Gool District Ramban stating therein that some unidentified thieves had stolen Rs 5,18,000 from his truck which was parked in Ware House area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Post Nehru Market led by SI Rohit Gandhi was constituted under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Pankaj Sharma, SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma.
The team put in hectic efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footage of the area finally arrested two thieves, who were identified as Mohammad Ashraf, son of Mohammad Hussain of Kakori District Rajouri and Mohammad Usman, son of Abdul Karim of Chawa District Rajouri.
On their disclosure, out of total stolen cash, Rs 494000 was recovered. A Scorpio vehicle has also been recovered and seized.
It is pertinent to mention here that both the arrested thieves are notorious. “Seven FIRs stands registered against Mohammad Ashraf and more than 3 FIRs against Mohammad Usman”, sources said.
Further investigation into the aforesaid case is going on.
