Kasturi Lal elected as president of CVSCO

JAMMU, Nov 7: Election of J&K Confederation of Voluntary, Social and Charitable Organisations (CVSCO) was held here under the supervision of S.C Rekhi as Election Officer.
Dev Raj Sharma, president All India Northern Zone Vikas Parishad was the chief guest on the occasion.
As per a handout Kasturi Lal was elected as president; Ashok Kumar Gupta, senior vice president; Sanjeev Parihar, general secretary and Usha Anand, treasurer.
The newly elected body under the guidance of its president nominated a five member non-executive body with I.D Soni as chief patron; K.S Samyal, patron; Dr. Sheryansh Kumar Jain, chairman; Prof. Sarla Kohli, vice president for Jammu province and G.D Shameer, vice president for Kashmir province.
Before starting the election process K.S Samyal, president of the Confederation asked the gathering to observe a two minute silence to pay homage to the members who have left for their heavenly abode.
After this he narrated the activities of Confederation.
Income and expenditure statement was presented by Sanjeev Parihar, treasurer of the organization.
The stage was managed by Dr. S.K Jain and the dignitaries who participated in the meeting were Dr. J.L Gupta, Abhinandan Jain, Nirmal Pada, S. Amarjeet Singh, S. Teja Singh, Abdul Qayoom, Pallavi Thakur, A.K Khajuria, Giatnandan Jain, P.N Jalla, S.C Gupta, C.M Sharma, Suresh Dogra, B.S Slathia, Santosh Basotra, Madan Mohan Sharma, Omesh Kumar Sharma, S.M Anand, T.C Taggar, Dalip Gupta, Rahul Kumar, B.L Parmoo, Sahil Gorkha, Amjad Ali, Salman Khan and Rahil Kumar and Baldev Raj Gupta, president Senior Citizens Rejuvenation Centre.
Sarla Kohli, ex-Principal Women Degree College Gandhi Nagar Jammu also spoke on the occasion.
Vote of thanks was presented by Usha Anand, founder member/treasurer of Confederation.
