JAMMU, Nov 7: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Gandhi Nagar by a person namely Sanjay Arora, son of Raghubinder Arora of 4 D/C Gandhi Nagar stating that unknown thieves trespassed into his house and decamped with battery, inverter, stabilizer, water-motor and LCD during night hours.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 284/2022 under sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Pankaj Sharma was constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma.
The team did strenuous efforts and finally arrested two thieves, who were identified as Ashish Gill, son of Daniel Gill of JDA Complex Nehru Market Bikram Chowk District and Sumit Athwal, son of Som Raj Athwal of Panchwati Apartments Nanak Nagar District Jammu.
On their disclosure, the aforesaid stolen items were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
