Srinagar, Nov 8: Police today arrested a hybrid militant in Awantipora area of Pulwama district.
A police spokesman said that police along with security forces arrested a hybrid militant of the LeT in Awantipora and recovered incriminating materials including ammunition from his possession.
Police along with security forces during a naka checking at Ladoo Awantipora arrested a hybrid militant of the LeT and recovered incriminating materials including a grenade from his possession. He has been identified as Abid Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Aziz Sheikh, resident of Satpokharen.
“During preliminary investigation, it came to fore that the arrested hybrid militant was in close touch with LeT commanders and was involved in transportation of arms and ammunition,” the spokesman added.
A case (FIR No. 69/2022) has been registered in Police Station Khrew and further investigation has been taken up.
