Sir,
Senior citizens in the country are not in a happy State due to a apathetic attitude of society and Government. So much so, even on Bank counters they are seen standing with their diseased and infirmed bodies. But no one bothers. How nice it becomes if separate counters are managed for women and elders. Though seats are reserved in buses but no one allows them to sit in.Until one carries feelings/regards for them all slogans for them carry no meaning.
Even in families, their stature appears very belittled and insignificant. Old Age Homes are the examples of disregardful attitude of sons and daughters. Self-centredness and extreme materialistic approach of life have rendered their life a hell. Therefore, special measures must be taken by the society and the Government to ensure problem free and comfortable life to our elders.
