KATHUA, Nov 12: Acting sternly against the drugs menace and its propagators on the overall directions of SSP Kathua, RC Kotwal, district police Kathua nabbed one person with six Omerex bottles (Codeine Phosphate & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup) near Talain Pull in Ramkot area.
Police said a party of Police Post (PP) Ramkot led by SI Sanjeet Singh in charge PP Ramkot under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Arvind Kumar laid a naka at Talain Pull and it intercepted one vehicle bearing Registration Number JK08L-9353 being driven by one Ravi Kumar, son of Kirpu Ram of Tharakalwal tehsil Ramkot who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
On through checking six bottles of “Omrex” (Codeine Phospate and Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrups of 100 ml each)were recovered from his illegal possession. He was arrested. The vehicle as well as six Omrex Bottles, were also seized. In this regard a case FIR Number 166/2022 U/S 08/21/22/29/NDPS Act was registered at Police Station (PS) Billawar and further investigation taken up.
