Srinagar, Oct 14: Police arrested three Panchayat members for ransacking the offices of the Assistant Development Commissioner Anantnag and Block Development Officer Qazigund .
Around 18 Panchayat members were protesting against the BDO Qazigund and they had an argument with the officials during a meeting in which ADC Anantnag, Abdul Hamid Wani, was also present.
They threatened the officials and also misbehaved with them. The officials lodged a formal complaint with the police.
Police after preliminary investigations arrested three Panchayat members Bilal Ahmed Deva Javid Ahmed Shiekh and Muhammad Setha.
A case vide FIR number 238/2013 under Section 353, 427 and 451 of RPC was registered against them. However, they were bailed out in the evening.
