JAMMU, Oct 14: Judicial Magistrate Akhnoor, Pawan Kumar Sharma today awarded one year imprisonment and fine of Rs 2000 to Koushal Kumar, son of Chuni Lal of Manda, Akhnoor, who was facing trial for outraging the modesty of a woman on July 23. 2008.
After hearing Senior PO Sarfraz Ahmed for the State whereas Advocate DP Gupta for the accused person, Judicial Magistrate Akhnoor observed, “in the present case there is no doubt and reason before this court to disbelieve the statement of complainant victim”, adding “why should a village lady implicate a man in a false case”.
Accordingly, the accused was awarded one year imprisonment and fine of Rs 2000.
