Rajouri, Nov 13: Addressing a long pending grievance of the hilly areas of Budhal Constituency, DDC Councillor Shazia Kausar today launched the blacktopping work on the Koteranka-Khawas Road.
The road work launched in late 1980s was in dilapidated condition for decades. DDC Councillor Shazia Kausar and BDC Koteranka chairman Javed Iqbal Choudhary actively took up the matter with Principal Secretary Roads and Buildings Shailendra Kumar and the district administration for having the blacktopping work initiated.
A vital link between Koteranka and Khawas, this road was neglected and ignored leading to huge inconvenience and under-development of the Khawas area.
During the BDC and DDC elections, Javed Iqbal Choudhary and Shazia Kausar had made commitment to the people of Khawas and Koteranka that they will get the road completed and properly travel worthy.
