JAMMU, Nov 14: Desh Bhagat University- one of the top-notch universities in Punjab providing quality education over the years, has implemented new National Education Policy-2020 to promote the all-round development of students in both academic and non-academic fields.
Addressing a press conference, here today, President of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Sandeep Singh and Vice President Dr Harsh Sadavarti, provided information about the initiatives taken for implementation of new Education Policy-2020
Vice President Dr Harsh Sadawarti stated that Desh Bhagat University has signed MoUs with numerous institutions, including Eduskills, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, DPU Thailand, Lincoln University USA, Hola India Madrid, Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies, Canada etc.
“The university has also introduced multiple exit options for those students who want to go abroad. Under this, they can choose the option according to their convenience, and if they go abroad without completing the course, they can continue their studies, even after coming back. their studies or time will not be wasted,” he said.
He further said that Desh Bhagat University is also connecting various schools and colleges under CSR and is also providing financial assistance so that more and more students can get the benefit of it.
President Dr Sandeep Singh said that Desh Bhagat University has launched the IELTS Plus Project and accordingly, a 4-year, multidisciplinary undergraduate degree programme has been introduced with a variety of exit possibilities for undergraduate students. It covers both professional and business sectors.
Other options include a certificate after completing one year of study; a diploma after completing two years of study; and a bachelor’s degree after completing a 3-year program.
He further added that Desh Bhagat University has also provided millions of job placements through job fairs and campus recruitment. Dr Sandeep Singh, said that the aim of Desh Bhagat University is not only to educate the students but also to provide them with the best opportunities by equipping them with skills so that their future can be bright and secure.
