Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Nov 16: Bishnah Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per official sources, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK021-1281.
During checking, police team rescued 15 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Rafaqat Ali, son of Mohd Sardar of Village Surisar District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 199/2022 under sections 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act and 50, 52, 54, 56 Transportation of Animals of Rules of 1978 has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
