Inquiry into allegations against President of MC Anantnag

SRINAGAR, Nov 17: To enquire into the allegations against President of Municipal Council Anantnag, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has ordered an inquiry and appointed vice-Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority, Haris Ahmad Handoo as the Inquiry Officer.
Further, Rafeeq Ahmad, Deputy Director, Urban Local Bodies Kashmir, has been appointed as Presiding Officer in the case.
An order in this regard was issued today by Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, according to which reasonable opportunity of being heard shall be afforded to the President of Municipal Council Anantnag.
The Inquiry Officer shall submit his report within a period of 15 days.
