JAMMU, Oct 15: Pradesh Youth Congress Committee organized a public darbar at village Tanda in RS Pura, here today.
The programme was organized by Booth president Shabir Ahmed and Anil Sharma while a large number of the people took part in the programme wherein the Youth Congress leaders highlighted the policies and porgrammes for welfare of general people, particularly youth.
In his address, State president of Youth Congress, Shahnawaz Choudhary said that for the empowerment of Panchayats, 73rd Amendment should be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed that this was the dream of late Rajiv Gandhi and Youth Congress was going to start an agitation for the implementation of the 73rd Amendment in the State very soon.
Predicting that Congress would form next Government in Centre as well as in State, Mr Shahnawaz appealed people to further strengthen the party for strengthening the nation.
While addressing, Satish Sharma assured to solve the various problems being faced by the local people. For employment of the youth, he listed the Centre sponsored schemes like UDAAN, Himayat and Huner Se Rozgar Tak, Adhaar etc. Advocate Charanjeet Singh Cheeku, Khushwant Singh and Shamsher Singh also spoke on the occasion.
