Awareness Camp organized at Ward 12

JAMMU, Nov 19: The Social Welfare and Labour Department of J&K government here today organized an awareness camp at Ward number 12.
Senior BJP leader and JMC Councillor, Jeet Angral; former Minister, Sat Sharma; Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Jammu, Manjeet Singh; Labour Officers-Sanjay Bhat and Pawan Bhatti were present in the camp.
Speaking on the occasion Sat Sharma said, after making E-Shram Cards, now with the efforts of Labour Department, the Labour Cards shall be available to the public of Ward 12 and also to that of other Wards of JMC.
Councillor, Jeet Angral said that motive of organizing the camp is to make the public aware about documents required to make Labour Cards and to enroll in Central Government Sponsored Schemes and take benefits of such schemes as the public is not aware of these schemes.
Manjeet Singh said that people were made aware of pension schemes for old age, women in distress, physically challenged and transgender; State Marriage Assistance Schemes, scholarship schemes, UDIDs for specially-abled persons, prosthetic aid, Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, elderly, childline etc.
“People were also made aware of the new online portal for pension and marriage assistance schemes,” he maintained.
