JAMMU, Nov 19: Former Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha ) and ex State president BJP (J&K), Shamsher Singh Manhas today started the construction work of lanes and by-lanes at Mishriwala and Paloura respectively in Jammu North Assembly constituency.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of Block Development Officer, Bhalwal at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.00 lakh approximately which were released from Member-Parliament Local Area Development Fund. The locals expressed their gratitude to Manhas for taking up this work on priority.
On this occasion, Manhas said that with the start of these works, the long pending demands of the people have been redressed and the concerned Department looking after the construction works will complete it in a stipulated period of time.
“There was competition for corruption in previous Governments. But ever since the Narendra Modi came to power, there has been competition for development”, he added.
Manhas said that the Modi Government at the Centre is constantly working to provide better facilities to the general public.
“Like support in recently concluded DDC elections, the people have to extend their support in the upcoming Assembly elections so that benefits of the development and public welfare schemes by the Modi Government continue to pour in”, he added.
Manhas said that in the upcoming Assembly elections, they will go among the people on the basis of development works and will connect people with the Bharatiya Janata Party on the basis of work.
Those who were present on the occasion were Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, Mandal Pradhan Raipur-Domana, Rakesh Singh, Ved Prakash Sharma, Rohit Verma,Shamsher Prajapati, Rajinder Singh, Virender Manhas, Jeet Kumar,Ravi Kumar and Dushyant Singh.
