JAMMU, Nov 19: Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee here today expressed resentment against the Excise Department for letting to open a liquor shop adjoining a Gurudwara in Kud.
The Committee strongly asked the SDM, Tehsildar and ETO Udhampur to either shift or close the liquor shop as it is not supposed to be opened near a religious place.
The Sangat of Kud gathered at the premises of the Gurudwara Sahib and expressed resentment against the opening of the liquor shop and demanded intervention of Excise Commissioner in the matter to get the liquor shop shifted to some other place as soon as possible.
