SAMBA, Nov 20: District Development Council Member, Sarabjit Singh Johal started development work of a waiting shed at cremation ground at Trindiya in Block Ramgarh, here today.
The work was started in presence of Sarpanch Bharat Bhushan, Sunil Choudhary, Shiv Choudhary, S Hazara Singh, Lambardar and other prominent persons of the area.
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC Member said that the Central Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to provide basic amenities to the inhabitants of peripheral areas at par with urban centres.
He further said that the condition of the ‘Shamshan Ghat’ was not upto the mark and many people also complained about the same. So, keeping in view the interests of the public, the works had to be taken up.
He said that this was the long pending demand of the area which has been fulfilled today.
The senior BJP leader said that such places hold a very religious importance in our culture and it should be our priority to keep such places in good condition as people in bulk visit such places daily and it should be our duty to provide every type of assistance to the public at such spots.
