SRINAGAR, Nov 22: Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh visited North Kashmir’s Baramulla District where he inaugurated multiple facilities for officers and jawans of the district today.
Accompanied by the ADGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar, the DGP first visited Mirgund (Pattan) where he was received by the SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SDM Syed Faheem and other civil and police gazetted officers.
At Mirgund, the DGP inaugurated the Barack, office cum residence of DO Mirgund. He inspected the facilities and interacted with the officers and Jawans posted there. He also reviewed crime records of the Police Post.
The DGP then proceeded to Baramulla where he inaugurated upgraded model Naka at Khanpora Bridge. He inspected the facilities at Naka and interacted with the Police and CRPF jawans. He also unveiled the bust and Bindaas Chowk built in memory of Martyr Constable Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh who attained martyrdom in a fierce gunfight while neutralising three foreign terrorists at Najibhat Kreeri on 25th May, 2022.
The Police chief inaugurated multiple facilities for officers and jawans at District Police Lines Baramulla (DPL) that included JIC Baramulla, Open Air Gym, renovated recreation hall and dining hall. He also inspected the canteen and other construction work at DPL and had lunch with the jawans. At DPL, DIG CRPF NKoR Sanjay Yadav and DC Baramulla Syed Sherish Asgar received the DGP.
After inaugurating the renovated JIC, the DGP interacted with officers and jawans. He inspected the records at JIC and gave directions with regard to building the records using modern techniques. SSP Baramulla briefed the DGP about work done and in progress in the district.
Earlier, DGP J&K addressed a joint darbar of Police and SSB 2nd Battalion at Bab Teing Pattan. On the occasion, the DGP gave a patient listening to the grievances of Police & SSB Officers and Jawans. He gave on spot direction for the redressal of some grievances and said that the Department is taking all initiative for the welfare of its Jawans.
