DODA, Nov 22: Rural Development Department today started the up-gradation work of the road to historic Guptganga Temple in Bhaderwah Valley of district Doda.
Guptganga Temple is a highly temple shrine situated on the outskirts of Bhaderwah Town with perennial Neeru Rivulet flowing down it and lush green cedar laden mountain standing guard in the backdrop. The temple attracts thousands of devotees, especially in summers when Bhaderwah valley witnesses huge footfall of tourists from within Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the Country.
Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal laid the foundation stone of widening work in presence of DDC Vice Chairperson, Sangeeta Bhagat; DDC Bhaderwah West, Yudhvir Singh; BDC Chairman, Omi Chand; Mahant Guptganga Mandir, Assistant Commissioner Development Doda, Phulail Singh; AEE, Shakti Raina and BDO Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar.
The work will be executed by RDD with an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakhs.
DDC Chairman directed the executing authorities to complete the work within the stipulated time period without compromising on the quality of work.
