REASI, Oct 17 Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has placed one Junior Engineer of Public Works Department under suspension and attached him with office of Chief Planning Officer for encroachment on State land and raising illegal construction during night hours.
An FIR under Section 154 has also been lodged against the JE, identified as Pawan Kumar, and others involved in the encroachment and illegal construction.
According to an official spokesman, Naib-Tehsildar Reasi upon receipt of information past midnight rushed to spot and noticed construction on war footing in Khasra Number 1155 near District Hospital where construction has been banned by an order of Deputy Commissioner since June 2013.
Assisted by police party, the material was seized and construction got demolished by the Naib Tehsildar.
