Four held with heroin, weapon

JAMMU, Nov 25: Police here today achieved a major success by recovering 109 grams of heroin from three different persons.
A handout of Police Department stated that cops recovered 30 grams heroin and a sharp edged weapon from a person while on Naka duty at Sandwan area and 65 grams of from a hardcore criminal-both under the jurisdiction of Police Post Pouni Chak.
Also 10 grams of heroin was recovered from another person in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Post Narwal and four grams of heroin in area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah.
Cops from Police Post Pouni Chak under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh led by SHO Domana, Inspector Tilak Raj assisted by I/C PP Pounichak, PSI Nitish Khajuria laid a Naka near Sandwan area and rounded up a suspect later identified as Shareef Hussain son of Lal Hussain resident of Halka Khatta, Tehsil Marh.
During his search 30 grams of heroin and one sharp edged weapon was recovered.
Similarly another team recovered 65 grams of heroin from the possession of hardcore criminal later identified as Mohd Hussain son of Lal Hussain resident of Manohar Gopala, Samba.
In this regard two different cases were registered U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 4/25 Act and U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act respectively at Police Station Domana and both the accused were arrested.
Similarly cops from Police Post Narwal under the supervision of SDPO East, Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari led by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort, Inspector Nayat Ali assisted by I/C PP Narwal, SI Lalit Kumar laid a Naka near Rajiv Nagar Chowk and rounded up one person later identified as Tasleem Ahmed son of Khaleel-ul-Rehman resident of Salman Tangdhar, Kupwara.
During his search, 10 grams of heroin was recovered.
A case U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at Police Station Bahu Fort in this regard and the accused got arrested.
Also, a naka was laid near Makhanpur, Bishnah by special police teams of Police Station Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO R.S Pura, Surinder Singh.
The team led by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma rounded up a suspect later identified as Sunil Kumar son of Hind Raj of Tara Chak, Bishnah.
During his search, 4 grams heroin was recovered.
In this regard a case U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at Police Station Bishnah and the accused was arrested.
Further investigation of the cases is going on.
