JAMMU, Nov 29: 3. Arnia police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering stolen cash and jewellery from his possession.
Acting on a complaint lodged by one person namely Subash Chander son of Dhawan Chand, resident of Arnia, regarding theft in a temple in Arnia area, a case FIR number 111/2022 under Section 457/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Arnia.
To solve the case, SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh constituted a special police team led by SHO Police Station Arnia Inspector Deepak Katoch, which after hectic efforts rounded up a suspect namely Ajay Kumar son of Joginder Kumar alias Papu, resident of Arnia. During intensive questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in the case and on his disclosure stolen cash and jewellery was recovered from his possession.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
