JWAM holds protest against price hike

JAMMU, Oct 19: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a strong protest today against the big increase in prices of milk, curd and cheese with one stoke thereby adding to the rising prices which have all ready broken the backbone of the common man.
JWAM president Sunil Dimple along with its workers and prominent citizens, held protest demonstration, roads blocked road, disrupted traffic and took out rally against the State Government and strongly demanded implementation of the Food Security Bill in the State.
While addressing, Sunil Dimple came down heavily on the Government saying that the big bomb shell has been broken on the people by huge price hike of milk and its products.
He asked the Government to “open mother dairies” in the Jammu region and pleaded for rolling back of milk price.
He demanded the CAPD Minister, Ch Mohmad Ramzan to implement the Food Security Bill in the State.
The JMC Jammu Municipal Commissioner Kiran Wattal assured Sunil Dimple that he will ensure that the people get quality milk and regarding the increase of the Prices the price control committee has taken this decision and he will put the demands of the JWAM and its resentment before the Government and the committee.
