UDHAMPUR, Dec 4: With the arrest of two thieves, Police have worked out two theft cases under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station.
Parveaz Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Mantalai, Tehsil Chenani was arrested for lifting a Scooty, bearing registration number JK14E-0611. A case FIR number 415/2022, under section 379 IPC was registered in this theft case.
Police team, led by SHO Udhampur, Inspector Raghubir Singh arrested the thief and also recovered stolen Scooty from his possession.
In another success, one Mohd Aslam, son of Nizam Din of Padanoo Chak arrested for stealing clothes worth more than Rs 10,000 along with cash of Rs 5000 from a shop of readymade garments at Adarsh Colony Udhampur. A case FIR 520/2022 U/s 457/380 IPC was registered in this connection. The stolen items along with cash were recovered from possession of the arrested accused.
