Dip Enggs list demands

JAMMU, Oct 20:  A deputation of All J&K Diploma Engineers Association met the Minister for PHE Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma here today and discussed their issues.
Led by Association president, Upinder Singh, the members apprised the Minister of the issues pertaining to diploma engineers cadre  and also submitted a charter of demands to him. The main demands projected restoration of entry level grade from Rs 5000-8000 to Rs 6700-10700, promotion of  every diploma engineer after 15 years of service, maintenance of cadre strength at every level from JE to Executive Engineer level, enhancement of fixed travelling allowance from Rs 30 per month to Rs 5000 per month and restoration of JE Grade-I.
The Minister listened patiently and assured the deputation that the issue will be raised at the appropriate level  to bring the demands to the logical conclusion. Prominent among others who accompanied  Singh included -S C Goswami, Vijay Sharma, Arunesh Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Vimal Gupta, Sayeed Shariq, Vimal Gupta and Anil Gupta.
