JAMMU, Oct 20: JKDF Sewa Dal today distributed 20 sewing machines among the widows to help them to earn their livelihood with honour and dignity.
The sewing machines were distributed by JKDF State president Anil Gupta during a function at Geeta Bhawan, Parade.
On the occasion, Anil Gupta also appointed Ward presidents of JKDF East Zone for all the 11 wards of Jammu East Constituency including the President of Jammu East Zone.
Rajesh Sharma has been appointed as president JKDF East Zone whereas Dileep Singh, Abhishek Kohli, Kamal Gondhi, Yogesh Kumar, Sahil Malik, Simon, Pyara Singh, Prateek Gupta, Aman Magotra and Sahil Kumar were appointed Ward presidents for Ward number 1, 2,3,4,6,7,10, 11, 15 and 19.
On the occasion, Jang Bahadur Sharma, president, Purani Mandi Shopkeeper Association and Chain Singh Jamwal, vice president, Shopkeeper Association and S Pyara Singh, president Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, were honoured by Anil Gupta for their contribution towards service to society.
Appreciating the efforts of JKDF Sewa Dal Anil Gupta said that the newly constituted group comprising of young blood shall reach out to the suffering people especially to neglected and unnoticed people living miserable life due to various problems in their life. To further this aim JKDF Sewa Dal is organizing a camp for elderly people on November 10, 2013, to distribute spectacles among the persons who have poor eye vision.
The prominent JKDF activists present on the occasion included Ram Kumar, Lucky Purim, Munish Khajuria, Arun Khanna, Ashok Gandhi and others.
