JAMMU, Oct 20: Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society (EPTWS) announced its new executive body here today.
Suraj Parkash Sharma has been elected as patron, whereas Nazeer Ahmed as Chairman, Jyoti Vaid as president, Mohammad Sharif Nissar as general secretary, Romesh Chander as senior vice president, Amit Luthra as vice president, Jamshed Akhter as vice president, Tej Ram as treasurer, Bali Baltar Singh as coordinator, Rattan Sawhney as secretary, Gopal Krishan Sharma as joint secretary, Gur Charan Singh as publicity secretary and Sunny Chibber as organizing secretary.
In the general body meeting, Jyoti Vaid resolved to take up all the problems confronted by the tenants with the concerned department and seek their redressal amicably.
Jyoti Vaid and Mohammad Sharif Nissar assured all the members of the Society to carry forward the issues and agenda of the society.
Earlier, a deputation of executive body members of the Society led by Jyoti Vaid and Mohammad Sharif Nissar met Minister for Revenue, Ajaz Khan and apprised him about the issues of the tenants.
Nazir Ahmed, Suraj Parkash Sharma and Tej Ram were also part of the deputation.
