JAMMU, Oct 20: SSP Jammu, Atul Goel organized an interactive meet with inmates of Jagti township today in which besides police officers, the prominent members of the township participated.
The meeting was held in a cordial manner and a memorandum was submitted to SSP Jammu by Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee on the occasion.
The memorandum demanded that registration of all vehicles be made at entry and exit points in the township especially during the night hours, a special recruitment drive be launched for migrants in the light of Government policy, tournaments and other sports programmes be also organized by police with migrant youth and students especially of Jagti township and other camps.
The memorandum also demanded fencing of the township from all sides which is necessary for the safety and security of the inmates and there should be no power cut especially during night hours in the township.
