BGM hopes cease-fire violations would calm down after HM visit

JAMMU, Oct 20:  Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (BGM) has expressed hope that the prevailing tensions along Indo-Pak borders in view of cease fire violations would calm down after the upcoming visit of Union Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde in the State.
In a statement issued here, Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha, president, Eshfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal, said that the continuous cease fire violations from the last more than an year have taken toll on the border residents, especially the Gujjars who reside in large numbers along borders.
He said that the first victim of crease fire violation was a Gujjar boy at Charrunda in Uri Sector of district Baramullah, last year.
He expressed hope that the Union Home Minister would take some positive and concrete measures to minimize tension along the borders and restore confidence among the border residents.
