KISHTWAR, Dec 9: Police here today has arrested a drug peddler and recovered about 80 gram of Cannabis (Charas) like substance from his possession.
The drug peddler was arrested when a police team from Police Station Atholi lead by SHO Inspector Vikram Parihar was on routine patrolling at Matti Bridge and noticed suspicious moments of a pedestrian who tried to hide himself from cops to escape but the cops apprehended him and on his search found Charas like substance weighing about 80 gm.
The arrested person disclosed his identity as Chamail Singh son of Hem Raj resident of Ligri Padder.
A case in FIR No. 48/2022 U/Sec. 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Atholi in this regard and investigation started.
