Tourism increased 3 fold in JK: Srinivasan

JAMMU, Dec 9: BJP Mahila Morcha national president, Vanathi Srinivasan today said historic victory by her party in Gujarat election is the victory of the party’s commitment to development, good governance and public welfare. The biggest credit for this victory goes to the public trust in the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Addressing one day Working Committee meeting of Jammu and Kashmir BJP Mahila Morcha here, today, she spoke on the PM’s popularity and credibility, political policies, implementation of public welfare schemes, formulation of important strategies and discussed the forthcoming party programmes.
Vanathi said self employment scheme is the best platform for self reliant group especially for the Matrishakti which aimed at making women self reliant, assure a dignified life to them and contribute in nation building. Emphasizing more on Aaghanwadhies, she suggested that every office bearer, Mandal and district president should adopt at least one Aaghanwadhi nearby and look after malnourished children, pregnant lady, lactating mothers and adolescents girls. She also suggested organizing medical camps for them.
She said tourism has also increased three fold in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370. She added that BJP is ideology based party which believes in nation first, party second and self last and it serves the people of all walks of society.
Earlier Vanathi Srinivasan and Sanjita Dogra its JK UT president inaugurated the meet. They were accompanied by Prabhari Mahila Morcha, Anuradha Charak, Seh Prabhari, Mahila Morcha, Veenu Khanna, National secretary, Rekha Kumari, Executive Member Updesh Andotra, ‘Prabhari Rural, Vaishno Devi, Suresh Khajuria district president Rural.
Sanjita Dogra delivered presidential address. She said Mahila Morcha holds these Working Committee meetings at regular intervals to have a detail review of the party’s ongoing development. She congratulated Mahila Morcha who vociferously campaigned during the elections in Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.
Sanjita Dogra sought the intervention of Vanathi Srinivasan for grant of reservation to JK women in the upcoming elections.
Rekha Kumari , Updesh Andotra , Anuradha Charak , Veenu Khanna , Vaishno Devi and Suresh Khajuria also spoke on the occasion.
Resolution was read by State office secretary, Reema Padha on Modiji’s schemes, related to promote women- led development. A key focus has been on building the capacities in terms of nutrition, health and education.
The district presidents presented reporting on organizational and political activities of the respective districts.
Neha Mahajan conducted proceedings and district president Rural, Rajni Devi proposed the vote of thanks.
