NNO concerned over increasing drug addiction, corruption

JAMMU, Dec 10: Nirbhao Nirvair Organisation (NNO) has expressed concern over increasing drug addiction and corruption in Revenue Department of J&K.
In a press conference here today NNO president, S. Harjeet Singh said that drugs in J&K come from Pakistan through Kashmir and involvement of local and corrupt police officials is not ruled out in this wrong doing.
“Youth of J&K are the main target of neighboring countries. Drug addiction has spread like pandemic and has engulfed the whole younger generation-girls and boys,” he told reporters.
The NNO president also said that corruption in Revenue Department of J&K is at peak.
“Patwaris and other officials take big amount from the general public to issue FARD and other revenue records,” he claimed adding: “PM Modi has introduced online system in all the government departments to end the menace of corruption and make the system transparent.”
Harjeet demanded strict action against the corrupt officials and said that security at borders should be increased to plug the routes of drugs into J&K.
NNO vice-president, Rahul Gupta; Mohinder Singh, Harshdeep Singh and S. Honey Singh were also present in the press conference.
