KATHUA, Oct 21: IGNOU Study Centre, Government Degree College Kathua, organized an Induction Programme in the College for the new enrolled learners.
Dr Nater Singh Raina, Principal of the college, was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Janak Singh Andotra, Principal Govt Women College Kathua, was the guest of honour.
Dr Nater Singh, in his address, stressed upon the quality education which can be acquired from prestigious institution like IGNOU through distance mode.
Dr Janak Singh shared with the new learners his rich academic experiences of being himself a Coordinator of this Study Centre earlier and congratulated the students for making the right choice of choosing IGNOU.
Earlier, Prof P K Rao, Coordinator of the Study Centre, explained in detail the system being adopted by the IGNOU and functioning and student support services provided at the Study Centre.
Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia and Dr Arun Dev Singh also spoke on the occasion.
