JAMMU, Dec 11: Silence of Jammu and Kashmir Government into recruitment scam of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) is an attempt to shield the accused of one of the biggest scam in the history of the state which is not even finding attention of probe agencies as everyone in setup is hell bent to hush up the matter.
This was stated by senior state spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jagdeep Singh while addressing a press conference, here today. Referring to the scam, Jagdeep Singh said that irregularities and scam in Fire and Emergency Services is unique in itself as irregularities have been committed for three times in a single recruitment process and one can say that a single thing has been looted thrice.
Singh further mentioned about strong evidences that are available in public domain but even after these evidences which have been shared with the Government agencies by whistle blowers there is hardly any response from Government quarters. With this approach of silence of probe agencies, one can easily establish that Government is hell bent to hush up the matter amid strong apprehensions that some top faces of political as well as bureaucratic circles are involved in it.
Jagdeep said this recruitment scam has ruined future of thousands of aspirants who are running from pillar to post for justice but there is no one to listen to them and it also exposes fake slogans of transparency and accountability as well as action against corruption by BJP and LG administration.
He said, “AAP is the first platform that highlighted this big recruitment scam but sad state of affairs can be gauged from the fact that AAP established multiple contacts with the LG office to meet with the LG and to apprise him of the matter but they were not given a single appointment.
Reiterating AAP’s commitment of stand against corruption and nepotism, Jagdeep said that the Party will keep playing its role of whistle blowers in the matter until accused involved are taken to task.
