BHOPAL, Dec 11: Indian theatre personality and scholar from J&K, Dr. M.L Dogra was conferred with ‘Bharat Bhushan Award-2022’ along with 50 other dignitaries for his exceptional work and outstanding contribution in creative and traditional folk art.
The award was given by the chief guest Major General Tejpal Singh Rawat at a function where celebrity chief guest was Arun Bakshi, Bollywood Star and Event Organizers were Dr. J.K Subramanian, Director General NAHF and Dr. Dkamarajar, Chancellor of NAHF.
Dr. Dogra is one of the few names of the country which have made unique contributions in establishing folk theatre workshops for children of Government Schools.
In his 50 years contribution to theatre he has written more than 150 Lyrical Plays, many books, many articles for newspapers on Cultural Heritage of India and more than 2000 songs were written and recorded in Dogri and Hindi languages.
