JAMMU, Oct 21: A district level Art Mela 2013 under RMSA was organized by DIET Samba at its new complex, Tarore, Samba today, where in schools from different zones of the district participated and exhibited their Art and craft skills.
HR Pakhroo Joint Director/Principal SIE Jammu was the chief guest. The function was presided by Sarita Anand, Field Advisor SIE and Jail Kumar Principal DIET was guest of honour.
The dignitaries present widely appreciated the different forms of the local art and secondary level. Ramesh Hakim (HoD) highlighted the role and need of art and culture in education.
Mrs Sarita Anand FA SIE Jammu also highlighted the need for organization of such type of events.
On the occasion, best five teams namely Government HSS Ramgarh, Star School of Intellectuals, Govt. Girls HS Tarore, Government H S Papper Brahmana, Government HS Badhori were honoured by distributing the mementos among them.
The winner were chosen by the adjudicators Sarita Anand, F A SIE Jammu, Prem Singh Principal HSS Ramgarh and Vinod Gupta HSS Mansa.
The items of culture programme were presented by the Government Girls HS Tarore which were praised by the chief guest.
Principal DIET, Samba Jail Kumar welcomed the chief guest by presenting buckets and mementos.
Jagdish Kumar Sharma senior Lecturer presented the vote of thanks and the stage was also conducted by him.
