ICC framed for female JKAS officers

JAMMU, Dec 13: The Government today constituted Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) for female members of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-I and J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-II under Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
“In terms of Section 4(1) of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, sanction is hereby accorded to constitution of Internal Complaint Committee to enquire and dispose of the complaints, if any, of sexual harassment against female members of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-I and J&K Secretariat (gazette) Service-II under Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013,” said an order issued today by the J&K Government.
According to the Order, the ICC will be comprised of Mandeep Kaur, Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj as Presiding Officer, and Rehana Batul (Secretary Public Grievances), Parveen Kumar (Additional Secretary, Home Department), a representative of an NGO nominated by Social Welfare Department and any other person co-opted by Presiding Officer as members.
