PPEU warns mass protest

JAMMU, Dec 13: The Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) has demanded regularization of daily rated/need based workers and DPC of all cadre including Tech-II and Tech-III.
The Union has also demanded two and half day salary for all employees working round the clock and concession of electricity dues to the employees of JPDCL without any further delay.
The demands were raised in the PPEU meeting held under the chairmanship of Shakti Gupta and attended among others by Koushal Sharma, provincial president, Suchat Singh, general secretary and Tarun Gupta, president Youth Wing.
The Union decided that if their genuine demands are not fulfilled within 15 days, the employees of all the Corporations will hold mass protest and inconvenience to the general public would be responsibility of the Corporation’s administration.
Those who attended the meeting include Supinder Singh, Daljeet Singh, Suresh Sharma, Sat Paul, Darshan Kumar, Amar Bharti, Anay Gupta and Ranjeet Singh.
