SRINAGAR, Dec 14: Apni Party has the distinction of being the only party in Jammu and Kashmir that gained public acceptance in the shortest period of time after it was established.
This was stated today by Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari while addressing a party convention at Wagoora in Baramulla. “The way people, mostly reputed political leaders and activists, from each and every corner of J&K have been joining our hands for past more than two years indicates that people trust our clear-cut agenda and policies,” he added.
Prior to the party’s convention, an eminent social personality from north Kashmir’s Wagoora Shabir Ahmad Shah joined Apni Party in presence of Altaf Bukhari and other top leaders, who gave Shabir Ahmad Shah a warm welcome into the party fold and assured him that the entire leadership will be behind him when he is out there to serve the people in his area.
Addressing the party workers, Bukhari reiterated Apni Party’s vision for a better future for J&K and its people. He said, “Apni Party holds a candid agenda and policy for a better future of J&K and its people. Since its inception, Apni Party is working to create a peaceful atmosphere in J&K as we believe that only a peaceful environment will help us to pave a way for the prosperity and development of this place, and prosperity and development will eventually enable people to have political and economic empowerment.”
Also present on the occasion were senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir, general secretary Mohammad Rafi Mir, provincial president Mohammad Ashraf Mir, chief spokesperson Javaid Hussain Baigh, former legislator Yawar Mir, district president Baramulla Khurshid Khan, Coordinator north Kashmir Fazl Beigh and others.
